Their surprise proposal took place at the beautiful The Edge Restaurant, a stunning caldera-side location in Akrotiri known for its breathtaking volcano views and peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds of Oia.

A Boho Proposal Setup Overlooking the Caldera
For the proposal setting, we created a romantic boho-style picnic setup overlooking the dramatic cliffs of Santorini. The design featured natural textures, pampas grass arrangements, elegant candles, and soft earthy tones that perfectly complemented the volcanic landscape and the deep blue of the Aegean Sea.
As the sun slowly set behind the caldera, the golden light created the perfect atmosphere for the big moment.
James guided Matt to the beautifully styled picnic setup, where the breathtaking Santorini sunset framed the scene. Surrounded by the endless sea and the iconic volcano view, James got down on one knee and asked the most important question of his life.
Matt’s emotional “yes” was filled with joy, surprise, and pure happiness — a moment that neither of them will ever forget.
Celebrating the Engagement
After the proposal, the couple celebrated their engagement with a bottle of **Moët & Chandon champagne, enjoying the magical colors of the Santorini sunset while taking in the incredible caldera views.
